Our latest research has shown that the ECAS can detect Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and differentiate between AD and the types of cognitive impairments in MND.
MND affects an older population and like other older people, those with MND are at risk of developing AD in addition to their MND.
By using the ECAS, we have shown that we can detect AD and differentiate the types of cognitive impairment from those typically found in MND.
The ECAS may therefore help in the diagnosis of this type of dementia.
